KristyElena: i was wondering if this was something that had to do with roy lichtenstein. but it doesn't have his usual half-tone pattern so i wasn't sure. so it makes perfect sense that this is one of the comics that inspired him but not actually his!

thanks ...  more

MIRCSC → KristyElena: Hi! The picture I found it a long time a go and it's part of a project of a college teacher who searches for the original comic books that inspired Roy Lichtenstein's paintings, this particular being form "Girl with Hair ribbon". =)

in the topic Please recommend a good brush for mineral makeup application in the forum Beauty Box
Being natural or synthetic isn't really the issue here, it's more about having soft but firm bristles so the powder distributes evenly. That harsh feeling you were saying happens frequently but improves with wider/lighter strokes.

I use mainly the BareMinerals brushes that came with my kit but also The Body Shop's ones. Kabuki brushes are the most common for mineral make up, but the important thing is really to be a large and flexible brush.

in the topic What kind of foundation do you use? in the forum Beauty Box
Going after the perfect foundation was my quest for the holy grail for a long time. I tried just about everything that appeared in the market until a couple of years ago when I was introduced to mineral make up and we've been happily together ever since.
Still, in that department I tried quite a few, but for me the original is the best: BareMinerals. Also check this online brand www.everydayminerals.com , they have a huge variety.
Mineral make up really works wonders, melts into your skin, leaves no trace if properly applied (but it's a no-brainer, no worries) and it's so light you'll forget you're wearing it. And it's like a cockroach, it would survive the nuclear holocaust.

in the topic 5 Must Have Beauty Products in the forum Beauty Box
1. LaRoche Posay's Anthelios XL 50+ -sunscreen. the best investment in my skin ever!
2. Vichy's Aqualia Thermal Light - great daily moisturizer. It's perfect if your skin is really low tolerance like mine. Beats Clinique every time, trust me!
3. BareMinerals Mineral Veil - perfect for a nude, semi-matte finish.
4. The Body Shop's Tea tree oil concealer #1 - the only that fuses with my skin
5. Estée Lauder's Idealist - does wonders for my skin, it was the end of blemishes, large pores and all things unaesthetically teen
